The Civil Service Commission classifies all positions in the City's service which are subject to the provisions of the Civil Service Statute; makes and publishes rules to examine, qualify, and certify applicants for employment in the City's Civil Service; investigates removal or suspension of Civil Service employees; makes reports and performs such other duties as set forth for Civil Service Commissions by State law.
